Golf Blog Slog

Let's see what some of our friends in the golf blogosphere are writing about:

  • Chris over at Eagle Par Birdie always has good stuff to pass along. I'm particularly impressed with this post, which I believe to be one of the most insightful and brilliant analyses ever to appear on a golf blog. Or any blog, for that matter.
  • Hound Dog shows off his statistical prowess by inventing a new formula for ranking the best drivers on the LPGA Tour. No. 1? Do you have to ask? It's Lorena, natch.
  • Robert Thompson extols the pleasures of the first golf of the season in Canada on Going for the Green.
  • Golf Babes lets us know that former "Big Break" contestant Nikki DiSanto has a role in the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" episode airing tomorrow (April 24).
  • Armchair Golfer is at the Legends of Golf this week and is sharing stories told by (and about) the legends.
  • The Golf Girl shoots a round of 121 ... and has a great time doing it. Imagine that, a golfer who enjoys the game. (Note to Patricia: Always carry extra erasers in your bag.)
  • Over at Golf Patents, David Dawsey, a k a the I.P. Golf Guy, shows us an rather unusual - and very ominous looking - golf contraption that was recently patented.

amazing
Nikki DiSanto on a real TV show.  I hope she tried to get along better with the real actors and actresses on CSI than she did with the real golfers and golferettes on Big Break !

Yep - that Chris (Eagle Par Birdie) knows quality when he sees it.

What a patent item.  If he hadn't forgotten that to tee the ball up, you kind of need a TEE, that could've been a brilliant invention...well...until the law suits started piling up from people falling over trying to put a ball on a tee while standing on one leg.   BUT - if it was actually practical, he would've had to design a dozen shapes to fit on women's shoes - giving him a license to print money ! (come on GG - how many pairs of shoes do YOU have now ?) :-D

"this ball will fit in that fairway"
