If You're Standing Still, You're Backing Up

Was it just yesterday that I said Trevor Immelman would slowly fade because he's not a good enough putter to stay at the top at Augusta? Silly me.

Trev is 3-under on his round today, which has just one hole to go as I write this, and has gotten to 7-under. Brandt Snedeker is also 3-under through his round to this point, but Brian Bateman came back to earth with a 76.

So Tiger Woods, who hasn't teed off yet, is now seven strokes off the lead. With scoring looking slightly better in the early going of Day 2, Tiger will need to get below par today to avoid losing ground.

At around 1:30 Eastern time, here's the Top 10:

Trevor Immelman, -7 (17)
Brandt Snedeker, -6 (14)
Justin Rose, -4 (2:03 p.m.)
Steve Flesch, -5 (67)
Stephen Ames , -4 (70)
Phil Mickelson, -4 (9)
Robert Karlsson, -2 (4)
Zach Johnson, -2 (1:30 p.m.)
Jim Furyk, -3 (8)
Lee Westwood, -3 (7)

How would you like to head to Sunday with Mickelson, Furyk, Johnson, Rose and Westwood in the mix? Some very good names on that leaderboard. Just not the biggest. Yet.

Phil's year ??
How about 2 days in a row, Mickelnuts flirts with the creek around 13 and both days, his ball finds grass instead of water.

OR

Is he using up his credits from the golf gods too early in the tournament ??
