Yahoo Sports is running a poll asking readers to choose the "most memorable Masters" from a list of 15 candidates. You can check out the candidates and then vote in the poll here.

There are some great choices on the list of 15: Gene Sarazen's "shot heard round the world" win in 1935; Arnold Palmer in 1960; Tiger Woods in 1997. But there is one obvious choice that should easily emerge as the winner: Jack Nicklaus in 1986. Not just the "most memorable" Masters but probably the most memorable - most electric, for anyone who actually saw it - win of all-time.

There is a curious omission from Yahoo's list of candidates, however: Phil Mickelson's win in 2004. I wonder why they left that one off the list? It was a great final round, with some big names in the mix; back-and-forth throughout the round; Ernie Els making a move; and then Lefty makes that final-hole birdie to win his first major championship. It was huge.

Yet, on the list is Nick Faldo's 1989 win. With the possible exception of Fanny Sunneson, I don't think anyone has ever said, "Yep, I remember where I was when Nick Faldo won ..." And Art Wall charging down the stretch to beat Cary Middlecoff in 1959 - but no Phil? What the dealio?
