Sunday Finishes
... and Open Thread ...
PGA Tour
Phil Mickelson charged on Sunday with a final-round 67, taking the FBR Open lead away from J.B. Holmes late. But Holmes answered with a birdie on the 18th to force a playoff, then beat Mickelson with another birdie on the first extra hole.
European Tour
Tiger Woods surged with a 65, and Ernie Els found water on No. 18. Martin Kaymer finished birdie-birdie-eagle, but that wasn't enough to stave off Woods, who won the Dubai Desert Classic by a stroke over Kaymer and two over Els and Louis Oushuizen.
Nationwide Tour
It was a runaway for Australian Jarrod Lyle at the Mexico Open. In his first Nationwide Tour victory, Lyle won by five strokes after shooting 63 on Sunday. The runner-up was "Big Break: Mesquite" contestant Matt Every.
Ladies European Tour
Karrie Webb defended her Australian Women's Open title by birdying the second playoff hole to defeat Ji-Yai Shin. Webb and Shin both shot 67s to finish at 8-under 284. Rookie Melissa Reid was third. Amy Yang, who won the ANZ Ladies Masters two years ago as a 16-year-old, was fourth.

Should read 'thunderdrive' not 'hunder'

I liked it...
What I didn't much like was Jim Nance' BRILLIANT analysis - acting like only HE was capable of seeing and interpreting Holmes' strut. Jim Nance - the master of the obvious - truly a tradition like no other.
Jim Nantz is a friggin clown ...
I liked the thunderstrut also. I thought his birdie to get into the playoff was nails. Loved the way he played that hole.
