Sunday Finishes
... and Open Thread ...
PGA Tour
Tiger Woods finished up an 8-stroke win at the Buick Invitational with a solid 71, finishing at 19-under 269. Ryuji Imada and Rory Sabbatini were the only golfers to break 70 on the final day, and finished second and third, respectively.
European Tour
Adam Scott scorched the course with a closing round of 61, coming from behind to win the Qatar Masters. It's the second time Scott has played this tournament, and the second time he's won it. Henrik Stenson was three strokes back, and Charl Schwartzen finished third. Third-round leader Johan Edfors dropped back to fourth with a 70.
Champions Tour
Playing in a fierce wind, Jerry Pate held steady while some others were blown off course, and that was good enough to win the Turtle Bay Championship. Pate closed with a 70 for a 5-under 211 total, come from four strokes off the pace at the start of the day. Second-round leader Gil Morgan tumbled with a 77.
Nationwide Tour
Veteran Scott Dunlap took the season opener on the Nationwide Tour, the Panama Movistar Championship. Dunlap finished one stroke ahead of Arjun Atwal and Jeff Klauk.
