Most Frustrated Golfer In America: Stewart Cink
It's clear that being on the PGA Tour Policy Board is wearing on Stewart Cink. He's sounding like a broken record - but he's also sounding completely reasonable when he complains about the whining going on by some of his fellow PGA Tour players.
Here was Cink last season in reaction to the whining by players who said they weren't happy with the FedEx Cup structure:
"For anyone who wants to complain about not knowing what the FedEx Cup structure is like, or the scheduling or anything like that, it's been documented for a year now in print that here's how it's going to be," Cink said ...
"Everybody was given an opportunity [to speak out]. We had player meetings, and we had abysmal attendance. That's our forum. If you can't take the time to come to the player meetings and voice your opinion, then how else are we supposed to get it? It's hard to talk to every single player and be a full-time player on the tour."
And - deja vu all over again - here's Cink Thursday reacting to whining by players over the new cut rule:
"We put a lot time into these decisions, there's a lot of study that goes on and then when something comes around, a lot of players blow the whistle and say: 'Hey, we didn't know.'
"Well I don't know what else we can do. We tried to notify everybody in at least three or four different ways, and that includes managers and spouses.
"Somebody needs to get the message to these players of the changes that are going on on their tour. It is their tour. It is very frustrating."
