John Daly Intimate with Balls

You might recall the beer-soaked commercial John Daly was involved in for Maxfli that got banned by CBS.
That commercial was for the Maxfli Fire ball. Today, TaylorMade (which owns the Maxfli brand) announced a new ball, the Maxfli Tour Fire. Sort of the big brother of the Fire.
Daly is playing the Tour Fire on Tour, missing cuts left and right with it. And Daly was "intimately involved" in the ball's development, TaylorMade says.
I have conflicting feelings about this:
- I'm not interested in owning anything John Daly has been intimate with.
- But I would like to know how a ball that has a yeast mantle and hops core performs.
