Pressel Up to No. 4 in World Rankings

Morgan Pressel is now the highest-ranked American in the Women's World Golf Rankings, jumping 13 places to No. 4 on the strength of her Kraft Nabisco Championship victory.

Pressel jumped ahead of Cristie Kerr (No. 5), Paula Creamer (No. 6), Juli Inkster (No. 8) and Stacy Prammanasudh (No. 12). (If you're wondering, Michelle Wie is No. 19.)

Kerr hasn't been playing well this year, and Natalie Gulbis (No. 32) has played terribly so far. Inkster, now 47 years old, should continue dropping.

In the women's rankings at large, Annika Sorenstam is still No. 1, barely, over Lorena Ochoa. Ochoa could have leapfrogged Sorenstam by winning the Kraft Nabisco. But as Ochoa has a tendency to do - in what is still the early part of her career - she blew up in a major. (Sorenstam blew up, too, at the Kraft Nabisco.)

Sorenstam's lead over Ochoa is down to 0.30, however, and Ochoa is a good bet to be No. 1 soon.
