John Daly and Vijay Singh: 40-year-olds of a Feather?

John Daly turns 41 years old later this year. Earlier this year, he hurt himself stopping his swing.

But don't pay that any mind. Long John says his best years are ahead of him, and he's inspired by another 40-something:

"I just look at Vijay. He's won 28 times in the four or five years since he turned 40," said Daly, who turns 41 on April 28 and has in the past battled off-course problems associated with gambling and alcohol.

"I wouldn't be playing if I didn't think I could still do it and hopefully the best years are still ahead of me."

Actually, Vijay has won 19 times since turning 40. But put that aside. There's something else about this that struck me ... I just can't quite put my finger on it.

Hmmm ... Daly and Singh. Singh and Daly. Daly inspired by Singh. What's troubling me? What's the difference between Daly and Singh? Maybe looking at some photos will help.

Here's Singh:
