Golf Blog Slog
Roaming around the golf blogosphere ...
- Our condolences to the Golf Chick, who lost one of her best friends. She posts a touching tribute, and also the news that she'll be taking a temporary break from the blog "because words are too hard."
- Robert Thompson at Going for the Green is impressed after testing the Callaway FT-i driver.
- At Golf Babes, well, you can never have too much Anna Rawson.
- The Golf Blogger has a great tip for spotting phony, knock-off clubs at golf shows.
- The Golf Girl tells us about a 9-year-old who is believed to be the youngest girl to record a hole-in-one.
- The Armchair Golfer thinks the FedEx Cup should be called the FedUp Cup.
- There are three new golf blogs out there of interest. One is so new there are only two posts so far, but it's worth mentioning because it's written by the president of a golf manufacturing company. Terry Koehler of Eidolon Golf has launched a blog called The Wedge Guy. And the USGA recently launched its own blog, called ... um ... USGA Blog. Several USGA staff members are contributing posts. So far, so good.
- The third new blog to report is Golf-Patent.com, written by patent attorney David J. Dawsey, who calls himself "The IP Golf Guy." A blog about intellectual property and patents in golf? Sounds kind of boring, you say? Don't be fooled: David has already posted some fascinating stuff. And he's updating much more frequently than I would have guessed possible with his subject matter. Check it out.
