• Texas Golf, written by Waggle Room diarist "Bogey McDuff," takes a look at Golf.com's ranking of the Top 10 Texas golfers. And finds a couple things to disagree with.

• My Daily Slice argues that golf is too gentlemanly. What the sport really needs, JFB says, is a good ol' NASCAR-style throwdown. Fisticuffs on the fairways.

• Robert Thompson at Going for the Green writes about The Rock Golf Club in Muskoka, Ontario. The Rock was named Best New Course in Canada by Golf Digest in 2004, yet just three years later is undergoing an overhaul due to major problems all over the course.

• Nick Faldo is taking incoming fire from some European Tour players and at least one past Ryder Cup captain over the choices he's made so far leading up to his 2008 captaincy. Eagle Par Birdie fills us in.
