Tree huggers have taken over all the golf writing positions

Where are these people coming from ?? These are supposed to be professional journalists who are paid to get a story CORRECT.

This Tim Dahlberg guy keeps flipping in and out of the facts so much that the truth gets all muddled up.

"I felt sorry for Wie the other day when the LPGA mishandled her failure to sign a scorecard and left her in tears after her best play in two years. It hardly seemed fair after everything she has been through the last couple of years."

The LPGA MISHANDLED HER FAILURE ????? Good lord - back away from the estrogen tablets and learn a little about your subject. This is not rocket science - it's not an explanation of the theory of relativity - it's a simple "check the numbers and sign your name BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE AREA" instruction.

This just gets more and more frustrating. I can see people who know Michelle Wie's name and think that everything she does is right - but know nothing about golf getting the story wrong - but this guy is supposed to know what he's talking about and he's supposed to tell the truth in his writing. But he doesn't.

"racial" comments at the end of the British Open broadcast

Click the link to the second hour of the July 21st show for this discussion - Faherty comes up right after this discussion and he's ALWAYS worth a listen.

Dan Patrick and his crew got into a light discussion about the ABC commentary at the end of the show on Sunday when they said that Harrington would be drinking Irish Whiskey from the Claret Jug and that Irishmen everywhere would be getting drunk celebrating the win.

This follows on Johnny Miller - that great "thinker" - and his comments about Rocco Mediate at the US Open.

Then further back to Fuzzy Zoeller's crack about what Tiger would pick for dinner at the Masters dinner.

As light hearted as the all three sets of comments were intended to be - Fuzzy Zoeller was branded as a racist from that day - but Miller and the ABC guys comments were just laughed off.

English is a weird language. We all know that Asian countries have their own characters and pronunciation - so to spell names, we spell by sounds...at least you'd think we would.

The "official" LPGA pronunciation of Shanshan Feng - is Shen-shen Fung. (see the link)

SO - if this is the correct pronunciation - how the heck did we get the spelling so wrong ? Ain't English great ?
