Rolly Polly Fan After Mickelson's Putt
Ok, so if you want a synopsis of how the Northern Trust Open ended this afternoon, click on this link to read Emily's summary. If you want to see the only video one of our readers could find of a fan rolling down the hill after Mickelson made his putt to birdie the final hole of regulation, watch below.
(Note: If anyone has a better video of the dude in the white shirt falling down the hill, let me know and I will gladly post it.)
UPDATE: Friend of ChicagoDuffer.com - Kristen Williams (@TheGolfChick) over at TheGolfChick.com - hooked me up with a sweet .GIF of the full shot:

Pretty awesome
And that right there is why the game needs stars and someone to root for. That fan reaction looks more like a football game than a golf tournament and it’s not just the guy rolling down the hill.
The man who never alters his opinions is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind.

I couldn’t agree more. The crowd reaction is incredible — and it’s really good to see a golf crowd that jazzed in the Post-Modern Era. If Philly Mick or Tiger can be a threat, especially in majors, the trends for pro golf will turn more sharply to the north. Things aren’t bad now, but they could be better.

Fiery
Eh, Adam F….Whoa! Talk about emotion. Having watched his Green Jacket wins it looked to me like this birdie putt on 18 carried far more impact than those two wins. Taking nothing away from those wins ’cause the Green Jacket solidifies ones place with their peers. The fans excitement was pulsating. If you look closely you see Phil sneak a quick peak to his right as the fan is finishing his bottom over tea kettle maneuver. Nice crowds each day as well. Golf moves the “needle”.
