Jim Huber, a longtime voice in American golf coverage, has passed away.
Huber worked for the past eleven years with Turner Sports, and in before that with CNN, covering golf as an essayist who had a sharp eye and a wry take on professional golf.
In a statement, Turner Sports' David Levy said on behalf of the network: "The Turner Broadcasting family suffered a great loss and we are saddened by the passing of our colleague and friend, Jim Huber. A terrific Emmy Award winning journalist and essayist, Jim made so many contributions during his more than 27 years with our company. He was a gentleman and wonderful individual and will be deeply missed. We send our condolences to his wife, Carol, and son, Matt."
According to reports, Huber passed away from complications due to leukemia. He was 67.
Speaking on behalf of Waggle Room, I would like to offer our condolences and best wishes to Mr. Huber's family, friends and colleagues.
