Just a thought for Puma...
Do you suppose anybody from Puma is watching the Oklahoma State v Arizona State game tonight ? Any chance they are thinking "Oklahoma State DOESN'T dress in solid orange ? Maybe we can get Rickie Skittles ....errr. ...Fowler something other than that day-glo orange for Sundays."
I know - probably not very likely, but it sure would be nice to see him dressed up as a golfer instead of a cream-sickle.
Oh well - it's a long season. There's always hope.

Maybe Orange is the new Black..................
Or maybe those orange hats sell really well.Noticed loads of youngsters in Rickie hats during the coverage we get over here. It’s all about the money!!..:0)
Flashy clothes
I don’t know why Rickie’s orange outfit stirs up so much derision.. The most flamboyant dresser of the modern era, Payne Stewart, would have been 54 now. Wearing knickers, he came out on Tour in 1982. He won that year, then again in 83. Then there was a four year drought until 87. So, three wins in 5 years wasn’t exactly tearing it up. But those knicker outfits was his “brand” it certainly set him apart from everyone else. Look at Ian Poulter, he’s a fine player, but not quite a “world beater”. The question is does a player need to win to “qualify” for distinctive garb? if Fowler won a bunch of times would his Sunday orange take on an aura of Tiger Woods’ Sunday red? Or maybe we resent players who get disproportionate media attention without much of a resume’, like Michelle Wie with her new hair color. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood or maybe I’m reading something into scrum’s comment that’s not there, when he says “It’s all about the money!!” Of course it is. That’s what professional sports is about. Do you think those guys on Arsenal or Man U are running up and down the field getting kicked in the nads are doing it for fun? It’s there job, and a tough one. Golfer don’t risk contact injury, but joint injuries along with back injuries are epidemic. And when they hurt, it can effect their career…. Oh crap…did I get off the track or what????
Maybe it's a generation thing, Court
I think he looks an absolute prat in both the orange outfit & the hat, but as Scrums says, there are a lot of Rickie hats around on the youngsters.
I don’t care about the hat…well…except that he wears it like a girl and a gang member with it over his ears and the flat brim…it’s the head to toe orange that is blinding. OSU only goes Fowler…errr…all orange once or twice a season and mix it up with white and black most of the time.
Break up the creamsicle look, Puma !

I think when Oglivy wore puma
and won the US Open, Puma might have hoped their brand would take off. Now, Fowler is the seller of the brand to , they hope the kids. The hat looks daft, he doesn’t look like a sportsman at all.He looks like some bubblegum chewing kid on a skatboard. In a ew years, he will cut the hair, ditch the clown hat and become a man. Long hair is good, but not like you just got out of bed after a rough night out.
I don’t know how the kids are over there, but the skater kids here generally don’t wear nice slacks and polo shirts. You probably have a nicer grade of skateboarders. :-D

Remember the song "pretty fly for a white guy " ?
the character in the video trying to be cool and getting tossed in the pool by the girls…Fowler sometimes reminds me of him.
"Prat" ?
Is that British for goofball or twit?
Wendy...we have to understand our YOUTH....They will latch on to anything out of the
main stream….Saggy Pants, Hats on backwards or sideways, Long Hair, Shaved heads, and it goes on and on….The Kids want their own Identity….Music, slang, rings in places that make me pale….And there is always someone wanting to make a quick buck and offer this crap for sale….this is what Puma is doing….great merchandising on their part….As OLDSTERS, they care less about us….And, take a look at the disposable income the young crowd has…..It’s all about the MONEY…..STUB

If I was a good player
say, 5 handicap or better, they wouldn’t say much because I would always be beating them. If you are good enough, you can be a flash as you like…except John Daly…he looks like a clown.
They were playing the University of Airzona
the Sun Devils play tonight
