Sad day for TNT
If you're watching the TNT broadcast, I'm sure you've noticed that Ernie Johnson Jr is not sitting in his usual chair. Friday evening, his father, Ernie Johnson Sr, passed away. His passing is very sad to the Atlanta area and much of the southeast for all the years we listened to Ernie Johnson Sr calling Braves games. Ernie was a pitcher in the major leagues and brought his experience and love of the game to a couple of generations of Braves fans.
RIP Ernie and condolences to his family. He was a terrific broadcaster and a true gentleman.
