Golf course supervillain strikes up north
Nike's new commercial caught G-Blaze's eye (an eye with a built in rangefinder, one of Blaze's many superpowers) when a horse is seen tearing through a finely manicured golf course causing significant damage to the grounds, but a stampede of horses couldn't have created as much damage in a year as one vandal did in a night to Whispering Springs Golf Club in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
Chris Wood, the pro who found the 15th club that created a mini media frenzy last year, sent G-Blaze a message asking for a quick piece showing the damage this vandal did to a great golf course. Below are pictures from Whispering Springs website showing the damage.

From Whispering Springs website: On the night of April 8th Whispering Springs Golf Club was the victim of a malicious act of vandalism. Trespasser(s) came onto our property during the night hours with a shovel and intentions to harm the course and our business’s well-being. The assailants dug over 200 holes throughout the green of significant size and depth. Not only did they dig out chucks of turf, the vandals proceeded to carry the pieces of sod 30 yards away near a creek. Anyone associated with, or has knowledge of the game of golf knows how much work goes into maintaining a golf course. This act was a direct assault on the hard work that the Whispering Springs staff puts into our establishment. We view this act to be one of someone who was not looking for sick fun, but rather, someone looking to destroy our business. For these reasons, Whispering Springs will not take this act lightly. We will do everything in our power to pursue these criminals and take full action to prosecute them.
Thanks Chris for bringing this to our attention. Rest assured we will put the full power of the Green Blazer Corps behind bringing this supervillian to justice.

With the aforesaid mention of a horse stampede
My first thought on seeing the first picture was “That’s a helluva lot of horse manure!”
Hope they catch the beggars who did this and throw them into said creek.
I have no clue what the horse reference is supposed to mean – but aside from wondering what kind of boredom or anger or drug use would influence someone to dig holes in a green like that – why would a vandal clean up after himself by taking their “divots” off the green ?
I’m sure this is an annoyance a halfway decent golf course will have repaired in a day or two – but I’m guessing the people who play there wouldn’t mind strapping him to a post and using him for target practice on the range.

Well, I have the perfect remedy...And yea, I thought the damage was
goona be done by Horses…Oh Well….Firstly, when the Pervert gets caught, and he-she will, I would make them do the repair work….Next, because this is in Wisconsin, they have some great Elm Trees….I would spread eagle him-her and lay on about 50 or so good lashes with a cat tale…used to great effet in early days in the navy’s of the world….Than, I would proceed to rub down all the lash cuts with SALT WATER….That should cure the A** Hole….Oh, and of course, publish the name and picture of said individual….Another picture of or Lack of Respect for people and property…..STUB.STUB

How about
Kissing the Gunner’s Daughter? Every couple of years we get joyriders who take a car onto our golf course and set fire to it. Makes “interesting” fairway obstacle!
What?? and heres me thinking you lived in a smart part of town!!

Indeed I do - proper snobby my postal code
but my golf course isn’t part of Portsmouth. Wickham Park has several public footpaths & even a couple of roads crossing it. (One to a very good/expensive vineyard just for info.) Must be very tempting for local bad lads to do wheelies on it.
Take a shot at them with your sawn off hybrid......may work!!!.......and
What vineyard would that be?

It's just called Wickham Vineyard
pretty pricy wines though. Also has an award-winning Indian fusion restaurant run by Atul Kochhar – great but expensive. too.
Looks like a very nice place-award winning wines too.............
I wonder if Majestic stock any?

Geez Stubbo – you thought a horse made those marks ? We’re going to have to put you on a refresher course of cowboy movies to know that those aren’t horse tracks. :-D
but the cat tail idea has some merit

Court..about 2 years ago, we had some High School bums that thought it funny to go
get drunk, pile into a couple of pickups and take ball bats to the mail boxes up and down the streets….Well. I lost 2 and than, after no Police action, decided to handle myself….I knew they’d be back….Like thieves the world over, they always go back to get the item replenished….
It took 5 nights…I waited with my 12 gauge shot-gun…Sure enough, one Friday night, here they came….You could hear them a block away, laughing and hitting the mail boxes…I have schrubs around my box, and when they got abrest of it, and just about to swing the ball bats, I stood up and fired at the hood of the truck….The kid driving got so scared, he swerved accross the road and hit a tree, which knocked the 2 in the bed out…
I walked accross the street and pointed the shot gun at them…2 of them mussed themselves, and the other 3 were setting world records running down the street…
Yup,the parents of those lil darlings filed a civil suit against me…The Judge threw the case out, and bent down and shook my hand….I haven’thad any vandalism at my place since…..STUB

that judge should have a lifetime spot on the bench just for that decision – especially if he decided to let those parents pick up your lawyer bill.

Forgot to tell ya..We filded a "friva-lis- law suit against the 2 sets of parents
from the origional action…Got the same Judge, which was a hoot, and the damages we went for was ALL the destroyed Mail Boxes, and the labor to replace them over the 2 year period….It turned into a Mini-class action as we advertised in the paper and had about 60-65 people bring in receipts for new boxes. I don’t remember exactly what it cost those parents, but it was considerable….AND, the police did cite me for shooting my gun in the city limits….Got a suspended sentance if I didn’t do it again….Kept all of us lauging for a good period of time….
My son said if I shot the gun again, he was going to take it away from me, and my other sons said I would be put under house arrest….They probably ment it too…I just get so fed up with people thinking they have the right to do anything they feel like doing, even if effects your property, etc….My feeling is…“your rights end at the tip of my nose”…..Am I getting crankyer as I get older….ya, I guess I am…..STUB

So True, but thats the world me live in these days. Heck I raised hell when I was a teen, I think we all did. What we did back then was kicking it old school style and probably less offensive by todays standards, but we did it just the same. On a golf related note, I was a looper as a young teen and I can assure you that we did our fair share of pranks at our local Bushwood Country Club.

We have a saddle club, a short par 4 away
It’s a wonder there’s not more mishaps. One got onto the putting green one day and that’s what made me think of it.
I’m leaving on Sunday the 1st. 18 hours later and I’m there. Pebble on Monday and Spanish Bay Tuesday.
