Cmon our American friends...golf is still being played, where are you ?
Hi, friends across the pond. Just wanted to let you know the great game of golf is still being played somewhere in the world. Yeah, I know the Fed Ex and the Pres Cup is over. But not golf. the Hong Kong open is being played this week. And even if you can't be bothered with that, why not post something about golf you might be playing ? I played the other day with 3 clubs and a putter for 9 holes and shot 41...not bad, I don't mind saying myself. Is there any golf games you play in the winter ? ( Not the PS 3 BTW :) ). Tell us about it. Don't let Waggle room hybernate for the winter...tell us what you are up to. Who knows ? Emily might even post a round she played !
Keep Waggle room going, or people will go, if you catch my drift . Cheers.

Mostly celebrating step two in our emancipation from the crown…Thanksgiving…in the free world. (well…it used to be…but we’re working on it) :-)
Besides – your Euro Tour boys don’t want us interfering in the RtD. Most of the top American players just spent most of the last month in Asia and Australia – it was time for turkey and mashed potatos ! You have 1 tournament left before Dubai.
If at first you don't secede, try try again
The Euro tour does
but then there is the Nedbank, then the Chevron. Yeah, your boys did good downunder. I noticed Watson stayed on..good for him. Thanksgiving is like anything else these days…good for the economy …well, the turkey farmers anyway. :)
Are you still golfing this time of year ? You know you can. Tell us about it.
Played today, as a matter of fact. Got to participate in a Titleist ball test. Unfortunately, it was in the low 30’s when we got to the course and never got to 40, and the wind was whippy and cold. We moved up two sets of tees to have any chance of getting to greens in regulation.

What gives me a fillip
is when all you Yanks rubbish the British weather :-) Playing, Playing, Playing! OK – so that’s asking for trouble. Low thirties not my favourite starting temps. either Court.
I don't understand that about the tees.
If you make the greens in regulation off say, the back tees in good weather, bad weather means you can’t sometimes. Your not supposed to reach greens in regulation all the time. Play from the back tees as normal, but accept one more to the green at times, yes ? Seems like cheating if you move forward just because the weather is a bit tougher :)
Tiny problem with that – when the weather affects even the pros, they move the tees forward so they’ll have a reasonable chance to reach the greens in regulation. Water – wind – temperature…all affect how far the ball travels.
If at first you don't secede, try try again
I live in a country where the ball gets affected by weather all the time
you dont have to tell me that, lol. But the pros play on TV where people want to see the best golf, greens in reg etc. You are like me…a regular golfer who takes what the day throws at him…do they move the tees forward like that when you play in competitions ? Or does it count for your handicap when you play off these forward tees ? Here, Our handicaps only count from the back tees, whatever the weather throws at us.
got news for you – we all have weather that affects the ball every day….we just have different weather ;-) Did you get any coverage of the Chevron, or Q-school ? How about the weather they had in California ? They had winds that got over 100 mph. Sounds like they were lucky that fires didn’t get sparked in some areas with those winds.
the golf courses I play move the tee positions based on weather (wind, cold, rain, etc) and some move them forward for their busiest days in an attempt to avoid excruciatingly long rounds.
over here, courses get a slope and a rating that are adjusted for different tee boxes and how they would expect a scratch player to play from that distance on that course, so once you establish a handicap, the scores you enter are mathematically adjusted to whatever set of tees you play on that particular course.
but don’t worry, you guys will catch up to us some day…maybe even ice cubes will make it to the UK> :-D

I see
I think I prefer your system, to be honest. We have the ice cubes, but it’s too cold right now for them and I’m off the whisky :)
yeah – I guess too much medicine can cause problems. hope you get the health back to par soon.

Hey Easy......
Spent the spring, summer, and fall traveling the states, and yes playing golf. For me it is officially the off season, because i played until i got sick (literally). Now i’m back here bothering my golfing brethren. I am enjoying the globalization of the game. And i am grateful for the Golf Channel. I know that’s not the norm here, but as a fan of the game, TGC is my source. I’ll be talking at you soon. Luke Donald “global” player of the year.

As you say, F and G, the GC is better than nothing.
Hope you get well soon, not playing in winter ? Us daft Brits do, all year round, unless it snows, of course. Most winters are snow free where I am, thank goodness.
Good to see ya easing
I been playing at Sawgrass, not to bad either. I’m on vacation until Mid january sort of. Was working at the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight 2 weeks ago. Had 6 clients in tow. Heading to Madison Square Garden with the same 6 tomorrow night for the Cotta vs Margarito fight tomorrow night.
Also trying to be a good boy and spend some time with my girlfriend for a change. lol Actually, shes ok with my travel as I was doing it when she met me and she runs her own business also.
Watched some of the Q school tournament and the one in China, Rory looks good as does my man Jimenez.
I’ll be around a bit more now that my busy season is over. Heading up to see my family in Nova Scotia, Canada for Christmas and then a few days in Missouri with Julies family.
Heading to Costa Rica with my g/f early January and hope to do some Marlin and other fishing with the locals. Julie thinks we are going on a romantic get-a-way but I have other ideas ;o) I’m so mean, I know. j/k But damn it I’m fishing.
Good to see ya handi and all. Hope you all had a nice thanksgiving.

Last winter
was the first time I have taken more than 2 weeks off (Christmas guests, etc) for as long as I can remember. Certainly don’t want another one like that.
Anyone think Luke Donald can be overtaken on the Euro money list?
Waggle Room.....
is screwing with my computer. Just like Stub, I am having problems and when I log off WR and stay off, it gets back to working right. I just look in from time to time. Go LSU!
The Saints were the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS for a year...hope I don't have to wait another 44 years for #2....WHO DAT!......:)
I never have problems with it, even on a POS Windows7 machine. The Macs, never, ever as well. Email support@sbnation.com and tell them what’s happening, as they may have some insight.

Good luck then, Em
I never heard a word from support@sbnation.com when I reported to them that I may have inadvertently introduced a virus to their website, nor when I reported the all-clear. I experienced a period of security threats emanting from WR but from nowhere else – I ignored them and eventually they went away. support@sbnation – bah!
Here is the latest McAfee site threat assessment: a good as it gets. If you have a “virus problem” with Waggle Room, it is a problem with your own PC.
