Charles........He is still having problems with
the WR site messing with his computer. His computer people are telling him that his problems are coming from here. I don’t know if they have identified the problem or not. You should email him and find out what the problem is.
The Saints were the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS for a year...hope I don't have to wait another 44 years for #2....WHO DAT!......:)
Any idea what kind of problems he was having ? For a while, I was getting a popup that looked like an error message that just said “250”. And I know my firewall clicks to tell me it blocks things on this site.

I assumed he had e-mailed you
about the problem, Charles. Even when he changed servers, the problem re-occurred.
The double posts are making me wonder
because I am having the same problem elsewhere. Any ideas Charles?

a bit earlier and had to force quit my browser. I wonder what browser he’s using?

Handi......I used Mozilla Firefox for
the past 2 years and loved it, but after their lastest update it started locking up and it said “not responding” for 20 or 30 seconds before starting to work again. I went back to earlier versions, but it didn’t help. I am back on IE and it works better, but every so often it also locks up. Could it be WR causing the problem?

Could be.
I know there is a lot of stuff going on under the hood. The refresh rate on the pages appears to be set to update every 3 or 4 seconds. That could cause some problems, especially on a slow connection.

I left WR up last night...
and came in this morning to find my computer locked up and acting strangely. I had to force reboot it to get control. Maybe there is a problem with the site.

Did the site lock up last night ? I tried to post something and nothing happened. Does seem like a lot of things are happeneing at the same time.

he is. I haven’t heard from him in a few days. I know he was planning another trip to paradise, but I don’t know when it was scheduled. I hope he is ok.

Support Issues...
So I can’t comment on the problems you guys are having. I never have these issues, especially with virus stuff because I banned Windows from my house earlier this year and only use Macs now…save for my work PC and it hasn’t made a peep either. Our corporate filter is tighter than a tick and it stops an ad every now and again, but I have never seen the anti-virus or the local anti-spam problem some say they are having.
That doesn’t mean the problems aren’t real however, so don’t think I am pointing a finger right back at y’all. I am just saying that 1) I don’t control and can’t really check on this because I don’t have access to the server level and that 2) I would go to SB Nation’s support group by sending an email to support@sbnation.com … and that I will help ya if I can, but please keep in mind I am just the editor and not the webmaster.

For now I am logging out and closing the browser when not active. It seems to fix the problem.

Empty your cache too, that can help. I regularly delete cookies and cached pages from my browsers, and it seems to help keep problems at bay.

Having to re-sign in every day
CB – how about this one – in the last 2 or 3 weeks I have had to re-sign in every day after turn on my computer. Before then, I would stay signed on unless I manually told my system to clear out those screens. Did something change with the site ?
