Doug Barron Granted TUE by PGA Tour

PrintIt appears that Doug Barron will get a second chance on the PGA Tour, but this time as a fully functioning man. Barron told Golfweek's Alex Miceli that the PGA Tour has granted his request for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) upon his return from suspension in November.
The exemption appears to be only for testosterone, not Beta blockers, which were a part of therapy for a long-standing heart condition.
Additionally, Barron's open lawsuit against the PGA Tour in which he sued for discrimination under the Americans With Disabilities Act will be officially settled in Memphis court this week. Whether or not the two events are connected is unknown and probably never will be.
The PGA Tour declined comment on the suit and Barron's TUE request.

that’s nice of them – it’s really hard to keep a regular schedule when you’re not allowed to have a Tuesday. :-)
Have to disagree a bit on the phrasing, though. Barron never lost his chance at the PGA Tour because of the drug policy. He had lost his Tour card years before, and he wasn’t doing very well on the smaller tours that didn’t bother with his medication.
And once again – our wunnerful gubmint has stepped in with this insane AWD act to force a business to do what is not in their best interest. Forced to hire the people who can’t do the job just to keep the gubmint off their backs. (and you wonder why our economy is such a mess ?)
If nothing else, it’s going to be interesting to see how Barron does on the medication. Good luck to him.

Handi...I been there and done that, so
let me give you some advise…..Firstly….DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT give her a bell to ring if she needs you….Make her yell….that way you can pretend not to hear her…Secondly….Don’t worry about Wendys recipes….just give her lots of wine/booze…will keep her slightly quiet, and at the same time keep her kidneys active….Thirdly….make yourself strong drink….If you do a good job of giving care, no one will ever know….but if ya don’t, everyone will know….And the strong drink will take the edge off the comments directed at you….at any rate, hang in there….STUB
