Report: Golf Channel Head Thompson Leaving Network

PrintSports Business Daily is reporting that Golf Channel head Page Thompson will be leaving the Comcast-owned network by the end of 2010.
Thompson has been with the network since 2007 - the first year of Golf Channel's 15 year early-round PGA Tour coverage deal.
Golf Channel is one of the properties in limbo given the proposed merger between NBC Universal and Comcast. It is heavily rumored NBC Universal and Olympics executive Dick Ebersol would be tapped to run all national sports properties within the new company.
