Garcia to Take Two Month Break, Skip Ryder Cup
Winless in two years, it has appeared at times that Sergio Garcia wants to be anywhere else in the world other than inside the ropes. Following a protracted break-up with Greg Norman's daughter, the Spaniard - now 30 - lacks direction. Garcia has decided that the best way to get it back is to take a two month break from competition following the PGA Championship.
"It's been a long year," Garcia said on Sunday after his round. "I haven't had a nice, long break my whole career."
After losing the consolation match at the WGC Accenture Match Play, Garcia has finished no better than T14 at the Open Championship. His last win on Tour was the '08 Players. Garcia also closed that season with two playoff loses in the FedExCup - at the Barclays to Vijay Singh and the Tour Championship to Camilo Villegas.
Garcia will return to action in October to play on the European Tour in his home country.

Maybe he’s going to take a run at Chris Evert-Lloyd-Mills-Norman….. :-D
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
LOL! That's great!
He claims he’s never had a long break from golf- again, it’s never Sergio’s fault. Maybe he’s got the curse?

Hey MD..this is a tad off
from the post, but as long as you brought up “the curse” as women call it…. I just tuned into the Golf Channel and Michael Breed was on….Now, I’m sorry, and I apologize if this offends anyone, but all I wanted to do, was shove a tampex in his mouth….that voice is enough to take the teeth off a file…..damm…..needless to say, I changed the TV channel……STUB.
