Way to Go, Phil - You Let Natalie Gulbis Down! (But We Get a Bikini Pic Out of It)

PrintMuch has been made of Phil Mickelson's opportunity this week - his fourth or fifth such chance - to achieve the essentially meaningless number one spot in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Tiger Woods did his part to facilitate the change by finishing with his worst four round aggregate score ever on a course he has hoisted a trophy seven times in his career. After two good rounds and a sufficient third round, all Mickelson had to do was find a way to finish somewhere in the top 4 to become top ranked for the first time in his career.
What does he do on Sunday? He craps the bed - again. Phil may have an endorsement coming from Depends.
Perhaps the worst part of Phil's total meltdown on Sunday at Firestone? He let down Natalie Gulbis. Gulbis, back home in Las Vegas, took was planning to take time out of her Sunday to root on Phil from home.
Watching sports center. Golf: Cheering for Phil Michelson to pass tiger and claim #1 world ranking!

It's a good thing that she chose to skip the couch surfing on Sunday and head to the pool at Caesar's Palace. Not only did Phil play horribly, but we get a bikini pic out of it.

Ok – I had it put down to Phil being Phil…but that could be a very distracting thought ! Way to go Natalie – you through Phil off ! Oh wait – Phil is super human and above such base thoughts – it was just Phil being Phil. :-D
