Erica Blasberg's Death Ruled A Suicide by Vegas Area Coroner
Nearly four months after the sudden death of LPGA player Erica Blasberg, the Clark County Coroner's Office released their autopsy findings and ruled her death a suicide. The primary cause of death was determined to be asphyxia, with a secondary cause of toxic levels of prescription drugs in her system.
Waggle Room spoke with the Coroner's Office this afternoon.
The Las Vegas Sun reports that Henderson Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Dr. Thomas Hess, the doctor linked to Blasberg in a yet understood relationship. The charges against Dr. Hess are for obstruction of justice due to accused removal of items from the crime scene - Blasberg's home. Hess admitted removing a suicide note and pills from Blasberg's home.
The Sun also reports Blasberg was found by police with a plastic bag secured over her head.
In a statement, Clark County Coroner Mike Murphy said, "While asphyxia was the primary couse of death, the presence of prescription drugs in Ms. Blasberg's system was a significant factor. Our thoughts are with her family as they move through this tragedy."

Very, Very Sad......
I heard once that suicide is “A permanent solution to a temporary problem”…….I feel for the father and mother, as they will always wonder what they might have missed that could have prevented this senseless death.
