Woods' Prodigal Half-Brother Knows Tiger's Still in Love With Elin

This is one of those stories that would appear on Oddball if I were filling in for Keith Olbermann on Countdown. Since I'm not, here's the gist: Tiger Woods' half-brother, Earl Jr. (Cheynne's dad), called into ESPN Radio's The Herd and asked to speak with Colin. Colin obliges and they talk for almost 8 minutes.

EJ, as I'll call him, goes on to give the Feherty Defense that people should stop ripping on Tiger Woods because of what he has done for the game of golf.

"[A] lot of the interviews, a lot of the commentaries... have not been very positive and I think that America forgets what he has done for the game of golf... We don't do many interviews as a family but there were so many things being said about him... and I know that some of those things are not true."

EJ and Tiger haven't spoken since shortly after Earl Sr.'s passing in 2006, but EJ went on to say that he knows Tiger is deeply in love with Elin. Could definitely be true, but Tiger may have a rough way of showing it.

(I'm not going to go into a long exposition of this, but I'll simply say that I do believe EJ - and Tiger on Feb. 19 - on the subject of loving Elin. The hallmark of sex addiction is the complete and constant removal of the emotional intimacy from intercourse.)

EJ didn't have much else to offer to the conversation. Nothing on whether or not a divorce will happen, did happen, or anything of that sort. It's a strange cameo on a nationally syndicated radio show, that's all.

We e-mailed Colin Cowherd for reaction to the interview and any other insights he can add. We'll let you know if we hear back from him.

isn’t it amazing what kind of claims get made by people who admit that they haven’t actually talked to someone for three or four years ?

I generally avoid Cowherd like the plague – was he talking about Woods in way that would make EJ call in ?

What EJ says could be very true...

And you hit it right on the head, Ryan. Tiger more than likely had no emotional connection to any of those women, and he very well could still be in love with Elin.

But, as I said before, we really won’t ever know.

Isn’t Racheal (spelling) waiting in the wings to marry El Tigar after the divorce ? how about some of those other skanks…that all said how much Tigar ment to them…That to me is an emotional connection….jist sayin…STUB
