Mike Breed Might Be Golf's John Madden
Watching the PGA Championship on the Interweb today, I was treated to Golf Channel's Michael Breed in the booth for the PGA.com coverage of Tiger Woods' group with YE Yang and Vijay Singh. The Web feed is a lot more raw than TNT's on-air product, including shoddy (and dizzying) camerawork and verbal miscues.
Oh, and the ghost of John Madden has apparently invaded Michael Breed's body.
Said during Woods' fifth hole today, Breed uttered, "The closer to the hole, the better off you'll be." Got that right!
And then when Woods was struggling off of the tee on the thirteenth hole, he went through Woods' sequence with a telestrator. He closed with Woods' now signature club fling (that makes the women in Cleveland puke).
The comment to accompany this? Eh, not worth it. We'll just improvise.
"You see there? BOOM! Club goes out of the hands. No club in the hands! The club's over there and the ball goes left."

lol – you need to dig into you karate history a little bit, RB. Clearly Tiger has been to Okinawa to study the Miyagi family Drum Technique.
Is this a scary looking golf course or what ?
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
OK, I posted here yesterday,
that I had inside information from a homeless man living in a culvert and who stood on one leg in a yoga stance whilst peeing, that Breed was gonna be Tigers new coach….With that voice screaming in you ear, yur either gonna get better fast, or go deaf….trouble being, ya don’t know which one will occur first….but there ya have it folks……STUB
This is an incredible course…and not far at all from Blackwolf Run. If you ever get the chance to go to Wisconsin and play golf, by all means do so. I put it second only to Nebraska for hidden great courses in the places I have been to.
Hey OMP...I agree, both courses are outstanding....but
I would put Idaho ahead of Nebraska….well, come to think of it, I’d put almost anything ahead of Nebraska….Gawd, I used to hate driving through that state….ya could see for miles, and it was always the same….kinda like if your not the lead dog, the view never changes…..STUB
Stub,
The Sandhills area has some of the best courses in the country now…so many that even Golfweek took notice this week.
Oregon and Idaho definitely have some top tracks, however. I would love to see a major in Bandon one day, for example.

Live From Kohler Wisconsin, One of my 7 Laptops in our war room a/k/a dispatch center here has TGC on the monitor. The latest headline above the Full Field Scores link witha picture of Tiger ( of course ) says, Tiger got off to a hot start Thursday and is try to hang on in difficult afternoon conditions. WHAT are they talking about ???? Its a beautifull 84 degrees here with barely a cloud in the sky and a small 5 mph breeze. Ideal if ya ask me. O"H WAIT let me guess, just because Tiger had a couple of bogies in the afternoon so far they are trying to make people believe that weather might be a factor. Gawd that headline is as mis-leading as Jim Greys statements. hahahahahaha
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
No, No, No
but he has applied for his commercial drivers license, so he can drive the bus…STUB
