Colin Montgomerie & IMG File Injunction to Stop Rumored S&M Pics
Yesterday, I received a curious tip in my inbox about Colin Montgomerie. As purveyors of Monty Watch, I get the occasional hint. This one was bizarre.
It read: "News of the World with Monty pics! Think Pulp Fiction!"
Going to the News of the World site, I found nothing Travolta or Tarantino-inspired. But, today we get some clarity. The National Ledger reports on an interview on the Dan Patrick Show with CBS Sports analyst David Feherty in which the Irishman-turned-American citizen said of Monty, "Apparently there's been an injunction filed to keep this story out of the newspapers."
The tipster to Waggle Room indicated that Montgomerie's representation at IMG has filed suit to keep the News of the World from publishing whatever photos they have.
So what could be so incriminating? The source says in reference to Pulp Fiction, "Rumor is full on gimp mask, rubber ball in the mouth, whips, dog collar and dominatrix."
As Sports by Brooks notes, the type of injunction filed in UK court prevents the complaint from going public.
Brooks also points to a Daily Mail filing from last Saturday in which Monty was asked if he would be resigning as Ryder Cup captain - perhaps in connection with an extramarital affair made public. Montgomerie reiterated that he would not resign the captaincy for anything related to his personal life.

what is a "Monty Watch" ?
…And does it keep good time ?
A full gimp mask ? If that were true, you wouldn’t be able to see who was wearing it. A story like this smacks of photoshop. If they’re fake – put someone in jail.
Time for a better hobby.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
You can bet that News of the World and the like would have it checked out fifty ways to Sunday before they ever dreamt of publishing a thing. Libel and slander laws in the UK are very different than here:
In the UK, if someone thinks that what you wrote about them is either defamatory or damaging, the onus will be entirely on you to prove that your comments are true in court. In other words, if you make the claim, you’ve got to prove it!
If offending (libellous) photos about Montgomery are published in NotW, the author and publisher can be sued. NotW the corporate entity can be sued. The people who drove NotW from their depot to the newsstands can be sued (the distributors). The retailers of NotW can also be sued.
Anyone who repeats allegations can also be sued. This is important. Seeing something written somewhere else doesn’t mean it is true. Repeating allegations without making sure they are true is a very good way to get yourself knee deep in litigation.
In other words, they would really, rally REALLY be sure before ink met paper. Fleet Street may be ribald and licentious, but fools they aren’t.

Ball in hand rule and not ball in mouth.
Sounds like Kinky World Golf to me. lol
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
Oh, Good Lord
I strongly believe that what one does behind closed doors is their own business and should be treated as such.
On the other hand, only a fool of a celebrity (that wasn’t a pop tart) would ever allow a digital camera in the room when they were getting their kink on.
Monty may be saying NOW that he won’t resign because of personal issues, but I have a strong feeling that this will catch on with the TMZ’s and the like of the world and that it will be his undoing not only as a Ryder Cup Captain.
Whatever he is paying for said services, it is probably too much
If Monty is a masochist, he can just play his approach to the 18th green from the 2006 US Open on an endless loop.
touche'
Or if he is for a long session, his entire career in America.
