Six Year Old Girl: 1, Tiger Woods: 0
Tiger Woods made the long flight on his private jet from his T47 just outside of Philadelphia at the AT&T National to be at T49 in the JP McManus International Pro-Am in Ireland. The pro-am is the equivalent of a Hamptons boat show for McManus, who is a billionaire horse breeder and gambler.
Woods only beat three players on day one: AT&T National winner Justin Rose, forlorn Ryder Cup snub Sandy Lyle, and 2003 Open Champion (and co-choker in Hartford with Justin Rose) Ben Curtis. So, maybe the lousy run has to do with jet lag.
40,000 people showed up for the event and, as The Independent reports, Woods' galleries were some ten deep at points. Of that forty large that showed up to watch Tiger, one little girl showed some serious guts.
6 year old Ava Mulhall went under the ropes as Woods was approaching and stood in front of Woods, awaiting an autograph on her program. 20 other pros - likely all playing better than Tiger - all signed for her, so why not him? Well, Woods did sign the program with apparently nary a comment.
What does this incident teach us? Tiger Woods respects people either too crazy or too young to realize that he is Tiger f'n Woods, y'all.
This isn't the first time that Tiger Woods has given some serious props to a person conveniently ignoring the rules. At the Memorial tournament last year, a spectator infiltrated Woods' press conference. About 20 questions into the conference, the spectator stood up and said,"Tiger, congratulations for winning The Memorial. I’m a normal person that snuck in here with a patron badge. I was just wondering if I could get an autograph."
Tiger snickered as the guy was getting escorted out, but Jack Nicklaus stopped the removal saying,"If he’s got that much guts, he can get it, right?"
Woods relented and gave him the John Hancock.
The lesson? Woods seems to appreciate people who are willing to make a spectacle of themselves to get his autograph. And, as Ava's father Colin told his little girl before seeking the elusive Woods' scribble, "I told her to run like hell, smile politely and say 'thank you'."

Of that forty large that showed up to watch Tiger ?
So none of the other players had fans following them around in Ireland. Hmmmmmmm, I find that hard to believe.
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
TGC is reporting that
Tiger was grilled pretty hard by the media after his round today. I hope they treat just like they would any other golfer and not give him a pass. He’s supposed to be a tough guy….let him answer the tough questions.
The Saints ARE the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS....WHO DAT!
Woods and Unfair Ways
Sure that kid’s excited. It’s not every day a superstar such as Tiger Woods asks you for your older sister’s phone number.

I canceled out of the tourney this week-end…..just too much to do. They are working me to death, but in the Oil industry you gotta work when it’s available.
The Saints ARE the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS....WHO DAT!
And, back on July 16, 1999 at the British Open's first round...
As Woods was putting out on the 18th hole, a barely dressed woman ran up to him and gave him a quick hug and a kiss.
Remember that???? There were photos.
Let’s see who “accosts” him this year.
Don't worry, nothing will be allright.
