The Open Open Thread - Round Two from St. Andrews

Louis Oosthuizen is definitely on the right side of the draw, sitting now on -12 after 67.  Mark Calcavecchia is now at -7 and in third.  McIlroy and Woods are on the course with play about to be suspended for wind.  Mickelson and Furyk are off the course and on the plane home.

Let's go!

Furyk on the plane home perhaps

Mickelson is at even par which is at or just above the cut line and the day is far from over.

It’s too early to call a cut line – especially with this kind of wind.

It’s not the putter, Tiger.

ABC has Severus Snape as a color announcer. I expect him to call down Harry Potter any second now.

How about that tee shot from Woods at 4 ? He was aiming at a TV tower way left of the fairway. Amazing.

Balls are still rolling around on the greens courtesy of the wind.

Dear Colin Montgomerie

When you retire, PLEASE come over and replace one of the many fools on American golf coverage.

At least do the ET for Golf Channel!

Same thing for Graeme McDowell. Much longer down the line of course, but enjoyed his chatter a lot.

Must have been for ESPN

as I didn’t see/hear anything on BBC2. Think he’d be as good as if not better than Faldo – as long as he doesn’t get too long-winded.

GREAT SHOT TIMMY CLARK!

And great NC State mention by fellow alum and NCAA Basketball champion Terry Gannon.

Terry is a really good guy, and I am glad to see him doing more golf.

It would apperaar that Mickelson is safe at -1

One of my partners just called me and said he saw Phil in the clubhouse having a snack and relaxing while reading one of the local papers.
