Great News for Our Photog Rob Matre

We've been fortunate enough here at Waggle Room to have our pal Rob Matre shoot two PGA Tour events for us.  Each time he has, we've all been blown away by the quality of his photography and the unique perspective he has on shooting the sport.  I wanted to get him to be able to do that for us at a major.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get him credentialed under Waggle Room for Pebble.  I thought the story might end there.  Luckily for all us, it didn't.

Rob was persistent and spoke directly with the USGA.  Now, he has landed an incredible assignment.  He will be shooting the US Open directly for the USGA.  Rob will have a daily gallery of his photos posted by the USGA on their site.  It's great exposure for his work and the golfing public stands to benefit because of it.  And, hopefully, his photos linked here, by Geoff Shackelford, and likely other places on the Internet helped him land this gig (and keep it for years to come).

Congrats to Rob - see you out there at Pebble, and we can't wait to see the pics.
