Pom-Poms & Flyovers: EA's Ad for Tiger Woods PGA Tour '11
Yesterday, Electronic Arts released its ad for the next edition of the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series. The '11 iteration features team golf for the first time, and the commercial highlights that concept with the atmosphere of a high school football game. There are pom-poms, flyovers from F-16s, and an appearance by Mike Ditka.
Take a look.
Lots better than that Nike ad, huh? Some smiling faces, happy people, actual golf. A big improvement over the last ad. But, imagine if we morphed the two.

Speaking of your Maryland roots...
…will we be getting some live highlights from the UM course and the Nationwide Tour event there this week ?
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
and if you do...
…smack Kay Cockerill on the back of the head for saying that Gary Williams is the BASEBALL coach at UM.
Why is it so difficult for xxx Golf Channel people to get these tiny little details straight ?
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Cuz they're too busy screwing up the big details.
Surprised you didn’t pick up on that, Court.
Well, it's another TIGAR article,
so who gives a big red rats behind….too bad the Electronic Arts people haven’t lost a bundle on this shit….lets get to something relevant…..STUB
Okay, STUB, why isn't the Memorial tourney held on Memorial Weekend?

The Memorial tourney is held a week after Memorial Weekend.

EA loses either way
If they put Boo or A.Kim on the cover, they would not sell any better than haveing a damaged tiger on the box.
