Typical Annika Monday: Hitting Balls from 40 Stories into the East River
Last year, Briny Baird hit some kind of sick 9 iron from atop a tall building outside of San Diego's Petco Park into a bullseye positioned in the outfield to raise money for charity. PF Chang's donated the money to the Fallen Heroes Fund in honor of Baird's accomplishment (certainly not his goofy putting style), and offered free lettuce wraps to everyone in America.
Not prone to West Coast Bias (it exists), PF Chang's moved the challenge to NYC and the East River this year. They also added Annika Sorenstam to the lineup, as well as Don Vickery, the first and only double amputee Class A member of the PGA of America. They hit balls off of the 40 story Waterside Plaza into the East River and raised nearly $75,000 for the Fallen Heroes Fund. And - again - free lettuce wraps for everyone!
Take a look at some of the footage of the shot that Annika said carried in the air for 11 seconds:

No kidding...
I think just watching that ball descend would give me the spins.

Sense of Style
If Annika had any concern for style in the world of golf she would’ve ripped that crazy fricking hat off Briny’s head and tossed it off the roof.
