PrintWe're going to try something a little different for this weekend's Travelers Championship from TPC River Highlands in Connecticut. There will be one open thread for the entire weekend of action. So, get crackin'!
FRIDAY
3:18pm - Just to set the tone here, Justin Rose looks like he is playing pissed off golf. He went 64-62 to lead this tournament by five over US Open exemptee Vijay Singh.

Eight Birdies for Rose today
Five in a row at one stretch. Good Lawwwwdy. If that was Tiger that had a round of 64 yesterday and 62 today, The golf channel would have it as a “breaking news” item and Tilghman, Lerner, Mel, Hoggard and that “Howdy Doody” look a like Craig Kahn would would be drooling all over themselves with excitement.

Rose's outfit
Did anybody get a picture of whatever Rose was wearing today ? Scott Van Pelt was saying that he looked like something from outer space

On an even more serious note, GC just showed replays of Rose's shots.
He’s dress in blue shirt and pants. Nothing unusual at all that I can see.
Unless Van Peltb was talking about Justin’s tin foil hat. Yeah, I suppose that clashed somewhat.

did the picture you saw have him with the glasses actually on his face ? all I can find are pictures with them on top of his hat….(protecting a second pair of alien eyes ??)

I never promised you a Rose margin,
but how does six strokes sound so far?
So who are you guys pulling for as we head to the back nine? I’d love to see Pavin make a run and win it if Rose can’t, but I also wouldn’t object to seeing Curtis win. I’ve always had a soft spot for that guy.

Whoops. Now that Bubba Watson shares the lead, I'd like to
see him win. We need more superstars in the game, and they gotta get that first win first. Plus he’s fun to watch with that variety of shots he’s got.
Yeah I agree on Bubba. I’ve wanted him to win for a while. Rose has led the tournament for so long though that I’d hate to see him blow it.
