So, A Guy Was TASERED at the PLAYERS
There's no easy way to say this, so here it goes: a middle-aged man got tasered at the Players Championship today.
Travis Parmelee, not related to former Miami Dolphins RB Bernie Parmalee, was subdued with a taser on Friday after spending his day yelling at players and being belligerent near the 11th hole. St. Johns County police tried to calm the guy down. He fought back. Naturally, they tasered him - 'cause that's not police brutality but hitting someone with a billy club is.
You never would've guessed, but Parmalee was drinking. He was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest without violence.
I hope he got some good zingers in during his big day.

Not even real good TX
it was too obvious…you have to be more subtle (see sneaky) than that…..no points for this one…lol…STUB
It happened at the 11th hole?
I thought the 17th was where players had problems with the drink.

Ryan...any
Idea if he got to do Tigar before they hauled him away? Gawd, wouldn’t that have been something….Of course ol Pucker lips Kahn would have had something to say about it and I didn’t hear him TUB
"Up the voltage" :-)
Two fairly large security guys can’t just eject a flabby drunk ? Most of these police are level headed enough to use the weapon wisely, but two “fans” getting tazed in one week is a little strange. I don’t care that the idiot at the Phillies game got zapped, and I’m assuming this clown at the Players was more than just a loudmouth – but is this going to become the standard approach ? It’s a little surprising to see tasors being used at sporting events when our wunnerful media makes a big splash when real criminals get tazed and the lawyers jump in to protect their “rights”.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Whoa! Don't you fear STUB's chastising you for
watching movies?
Should Ryan ever pack it up and abandon this
truly fantastic, creative, well-written site, all you gratuitously harsh critics would miss it more than you miss your three-foot putts.
For the mathematically challenged, 36
is approximately half of 72. (J/K, Wendy)
Isn't it really more of a median-age man?

McIlroy didn't make the cut at The Players.
That’s bound to dampen his chances of making the Hall of Fame for at least a week.
You know what, I am someone who wishes taser guns were
banned in most spots
Then again, here is an idea….ACT WITH RESPECT at sporting events and SHOCKING…you won’t have to worry about being tased
It really is that simple…don’t run onto the field and/or don’t resist arrest or scream at golfers….
Amazing how over-the-line we get then cry when we are punished
