I Know Some People Don't Like Sawgrass, But It's Not A Parking Lot
Remember in Major League 2 (the PG-13 one that wasn't a real plot stretch) when the group of three guys in the outfield faces internal struggle because the one fan has turned negative on the Tribe? He says during a game, "Go ahead and bring in the bulldozers and turn this place into a parking lot," or something like that.
They said some pretty nasty things about Sawgrass when it first opened. J.C. Sneed said, "They messed up a perfectly good swamp….It’s 90% horse manure and 10% luck."
Well, a couple from Florida took both quotes to heart when they turned Sawgrass' 8th green into a swampy parking lot. Course employees found a couple in their Pontiac G6 (of course it was a Pontiac, not a Porsche) parked squarely on the Stadium Course's 8th green last night. And when approached by the course employees, they wouldn't get out of the car. Police were called, the couple relented, end of story.
The best subplot to this O. Henry tale? The couple's mom stopped by Sawgrass to drive the car home.
No damage was done to the green of the par 3 8th, though I'm sure the players would not have minded if they had to play to a temporary green and a big paint bucket for a cup.

are you f*in' kidding me, Ryan?
1989 – the third greatest baseball movie of all-time, Major League hits the big screen. The plot, which was not a stretch, has the Indians winning the pennant.
1995 – after decades of futility (which prompted the previously mentioned movie), the Indians come to life and take the World Series to game six before losing on a solo home run.
Your improbability, sir, is real life. Ummm… I’m sorry, were we talking about golf?
Placebos, of course, are things you have to swallow even though they contain nothing that actually helps you. It's like American health insurance in a pill. -BiPM
I was making fun of Major League 3. I liked 2. But 3 was a stretch when like everyone on the team had to go play for the minor league Buzz. That movie was awful. Loved 1 and 2 :)

Has this turned into one
of those heart wrenching blogs about watching paint dry? Sorry D…it’s just about as exciting…..Let’s get back to the car on the green….What Ryan hasn’t said, is what they were doing in the car before they were found…I’ll bet they were in the back seat….They were members of the Mile High Club, and this was to be another exciting chapter…. Drinking? why would anyone think that…And lastly, anyone who sees as many movies as you people obviously do, have waaaayyy too much time on your hands….STUB
Live and let watch, STUB. Lucky for us, you're
not the judge, just a nudge, on occasion. Lots of occasions, actually.
