Matteo Manassero Shoots 70 in Pro Debut
Italian teen sensation Matteo Manassero - the low amateur and youngest to ever make the cut at the Masters - shot 70 in his pro debut at the European Tour's BMW Italian Open. His round featured three birdies and a bogey. Most of the action came in the final four holes of the course (his front nine), where Manassero went birdie-par-bogey-birdie to finish.
"I played fairway, green and holed some putts. I really liked how I played today - it was a solid round," Manassero said of his debut.
Manassero is tied 19th, three strokes behind four golfers at -5.
He was awarded with a Rolex watch after the round. Why? I don't know.
