PrintRory McIlroy's first PGA Tour win at the Quail Hollow Championship was a very popular one among fans, media, and the players themselves. Even Phil Mickelson's caddy, Jim Mackay, stopped by to congratulate him. When asked by CBS Sports' David Feherty who he would call first, McIlroy said his parents. He said girlfriend Holly would be second.

She’s phenomenal – no doubt. Finally someone to take Amy Mickelson’s place in the “why don’t they hire her to just give out the trophy every week” job.
However, you just know this is going to cause problems for Rory sooner than later. She is going to be a tabloid target and these wild party pictures will be a real distraction in interviews. She may be acting like most 20 year old hot chicks, but he is living in a world a lot more mature.

Getting these pics made me wonder what it would have been like for Amy (or even Elin because that’s how fast things are changing) if Facebook, digital cameras, and technology that I take for granted existed back then.
