Arnie Palmer's Half & Half Making A Whole Lot of Cash
Ever have a taste of Arnold Palmer? In the post-hydrant era, that would typically require some kind of qualifier or explanation. But everyone knows that an Arnie Palmer is a refreshing blend of equal parts iced tea and lemonade. (As an aside, the John Daly has been established as equal parts lemonade and sweet tea vodka.)
The folks at Ariizona Iced Tea - brewed in New York, for you Arizona boycotters - have been pumping out all kinds of new renditions of the classic mix. They even recently introduced a zero calorie version of the drink. It comes in all kinds of sizes. And it is making some serious cash for Arizona, and the King himself.
Darren Rovell shares that Arizona expects to sell in upwards of $100 million of APs this year. It is only about 10 percent of the company's business, but sales double year-over-year almost every year of the decade Arizona has been selling the drinks.
Palmer makes money because his name was trademarked in the process of selling the rights to use his name to a company called Innovative Flavors that has partnered with Arizona to create, distribute, and sell the half & half.
Now if I could only find the 12 ounce twelve packs of the stuff at a place other than BJ's (the wholesale warehouse), then I would be as happy as a clam.

the “post hydrant era” ?? yeesh. You DO realize that Arnie has been around and drinking that half and half concoction longer than 6 months…right ? (is it really necessary to inject Woods into everything ?)
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Do I really have to dignify this with a response?

haha, I’m marrying a girl who lives right outside of Latrobe, so I know Arnie well :)
As for Tiger, sometimes it’s hard to resist, but he only gets into a few posts here anymore.
