Travel in Style & Comfort With the Bag Boy T-700
Over the course of my adult life, I've spent some time playing golf when I travel. From Florida to Costa Rica to Vegas, I've been everywhere, man. Everywhere. Up until this year, though, I had always shipped my clubs in a hard case. It has some advantages - almost impervious to breaking the clubs, invariably gets checked by TSA for drugs, and can double as a 50 pound dumbbell.
For some time now, I had been seeking a softer and lighter travel case for easier transport and with more storage features. The folks at Bag Boy sent me their T-700 travel bag to try as my first foray into the soft cover game. Immediately, I noticed that the weight of the bag plus my clubs went down considerably. At the same time, though, the quality and placement of the padding materials gave me the assurance (and delivery on that assurance) that my clubs would be well protected in transit.
The bag also came with handles atop of it so as to take advantage of the two pairs of inline wheels to cart the bag on the ground. It also came with two duffel straps in case I was feeling like the Brawny man. (Sometimes I did.)
Getting the clubs in the case was easy with the full body zipper, but pay close attention with stand bags because the legs can get caught. The bag held all of my clubs, including my driver, comfortably - even with my gaudy Maryland Terrapins headcover. Bag Boy says that the T-700 will hold up to a 48" driver and 10" cart bag.
Another nice thing about the bag is the supplemental storage that my hard case doesn't have. There are two half-length pockets on the side of the bag, as well as a pouch in front of the bag that is perfect for carrying spikes.
The polyester material of the bag is strong and clearly built to last - something very important because bags like these tend to only get bought every five years or so. I feel very comfortable with that life span with this product.
The T-700 retails for just under $90 and comes in blue, red, and silver.

Everything !
Shoes, hats, dirty clothes (stankyu socks help keep the TSA inspections short), etc etc etc… :-D
I have an Ogio soft travel bag and love it – BUT – I would recommend getting a Club Glove “Stiff Arm” to protect those expensive woods. It’s an extendable metal shaft that pushes the bag to it’s full length and keeps the bag from bending at the top – snapping graphite or bending metal. Best $30 investment for any soft travel bag user.
