A Quick Stat That Shows Tigerproofing Was Ahead of Its Time

Back when Tiger Woods won the Masters by a dozen shots in 1997, he won on an Augusta National course that measured 6925 yards.  That year on Tour, he averaged 294.8 yards.

Today, Alvaro Quiros would lead the PGA Tour - if he had enough official rounds - at 314.7 yards off of the tee.  Today, ANGC plays to 7435 maximum yards.

The increase in Quiros' yardage over Woods in 13 years?  6.76%.  The increase in the length of Augusta '09 over 1997? 7.36%.

Mother Nature

May be “Golf Proofing” the start of the tournament here at Augusta National. The forecast for Thursday is for 65% chance of rain and 50 % chance of Thunderstorms. Was hot today at a mere 90 degrees. Maybe I can find a Loud Mouth bathing suit and hit the pool.

LOL - you should suggest that to Loudmouth !

According to the weather here in Atlanta – that Thursday weather is supposed to roll in during the afternoon – so Augusta shouldn’t get it for a few more hours after us. Just hope for managable overnight rains so it’s not soggy.

You still planning on playing over the weekend ?

OK, that's it Jumpin...

ya know darn well, that what you are calling work is a misconception, that you could be on the SPIN LIST with the White house….Workin, my rosie red behind….your schmoozing with the customers, than on top of all that, you will write the whole thing off as a “BUSIESS EXPENSE”. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time…And Court just wishes he’d have been swilling Martinis with me…Honey, cut more cheese and sausage will ya dear…good girl, and fill my glass again…3 olives this time….Ah, life is good….STUB

Stubbo ?

Whats a “BUSIESS EXPENSE” anyway ? LOL Schmoozing ? I am with our customers a lot but there is little time to Schmooz with them. Our job is to make sure that they get the proper schmooz time with others and making sure they are having a nice time in general. My schmooz time comes in on the off weeks. For the record Stub :o ) Everything I do is a business expence one way or another as 1/3 of the company is mine. Hey Guess What ?, "IT’S MASTERS WEEK, Can’t wait for play to start so that the talk will hopefully be about GOLF. GREAT JOB, by Ray Floyd at the news conference today, to bad more media outlets are not covering his story as they should be. He had a “Fan” Tastic career and always a gentleman and family man. I wish him all the best in his retirement at 67 y/o
