2 Out of 3 Is Pretty Damn Incredible for Tseng, Really
As a closet Meatloaf fan, I frequently quote him in my day to day musings. I implored Yani Tseng for the opportunity to do so again to complete a beautiful Easter Sunday. Were she to pick up her second major championship and third career win at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, then she would clearly have more major wins than regular event wins.
She pulled it off on Sunday with ease alongside her on-course, high stakes gambling partner Suzann Pettersen. An eagle at the par 5 second hole and a subsequent birdie on the third set the stage for a lead that could not be caught by Pettersen.
The Norwegian was not without her chances, including three very close looks at birdie from thirteen through fifteen. Even still, after a clutch par save at the 17th, Pettersen left herself pin high in two at the dramatic par 5 finishing hole. Seeking to chip in to potentially force a playoff, she came up inches short.
Tseng lagged home in two putts and won the title, and a bath in Champions Lake.
She appeared surprised by the feat. "I don't think I'm going to win two majors in three years," Tseng told media afterward.
Tseng was also surprised by the Mexicali-centered earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale that rocked the southwestern US. "We have a lot in Taiwan, but this was big. I like it. Cool. It's like my big week. I hope nobody gets hurt."
With the win the Taiwan-born phenom sits in second position in the Rolex Rankings, poised to take down number one Lorena Ochoa, whose bid to win this title for a second time languished on Sunday.

Congrats to Yani
A well deserved win. Suzzan did leave a few birdies out on the course though. Yani and Suzzan are great friends and I’m sure she was happy for her.
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
Perfect ending for the Kraft Nabisco..
was with an earthquake during her interview in the Media Center.
Well, we're waiting....
(for David Carr)
It's strange, but
I said when she came out on tour, that she had a great repeating golf swing…very few moving parts…She proved it again on Sunday….The oft forgotten aspect of our game is LUCK…a good break here, a bad bounce there…Luck bit Petterson, only the wrong way…Kudos to Yani Tseng…a great win…STUB
