Next LPGA Event Will Be Ochoa's Last

As part of Lorena Ochoa's retirement announcement, the LPGA and Ochoa indicated together that her final event would be next week's Tres Marias Championship in Mexico. Ochoa also intends to play the annual LPGA Tour event which she hosts - the Lorena Ochoa Invitational - in her former home of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Randall Mell also files this interview with close Ochoa friend Reilly Rankin, who was left with the impression that Ochoa will not return to golf.

She had a conference in Mexico at 9:30 this morning, and then there’s a teleconference at noon.

If Ochoa is serious about her foundations...
and I have no reason to believe otherwise, she will be back on a limited schedule soon enough.
Lorena Ochoa – #1 golfer in the world holds more interest that Lorena Ochoa – former #1 golfer in the world, especially in her country where women’s golf isn’t particularly high.
