On XM's Teed Off with Brian Katrek on XM 146, Katrek interviewed Davis about the shot, the penalty, and upholding the rules of the sport. Take a listen!

Good for the guy but the credit he is getting is so over-blown
He wasn’t going to make the putt even if he didn’t call it on himself
Also, he may have gotten caught by bloggers or the TV guys if he hadn’t
He may not have had as much of a choice as we make it out to be
Choice ?
What are you talking about ? Davis says he had no choice – he had to make sure about the penalty. There was no hesitation. He called Slugger White immediately.
How the heck is a blogger going to “catch” him ?
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Cost him 400k ?
If he didn’t call it and TV spotted it, he would have lost a lot more with a DQ. In any case, stop making money the be all and end all. It isn’t.
Easy/Alious - if he hadn't asked for the reed to be double-checked
even if we had seen him touch it in the backswing, surely no-one could have proved that it wasn’t growing/attached at the time, i.e. not a LOOSE impediment?
Guys, isn't this just another
journeyman example of our sport?..A tough competitor calling a foul on himself? This is what puts our game head and sholders above all the rest….STUB
it’s a great example of our sport. Not sure what “journeyman” has to do with it.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
We all have our fave rock bands
I myself am a Herman’s Hermits man. (J/K)
She broke my heart but I
punched her nose. A country song. Deep lyrics.
“I’m Henry the VIII I am”…“Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter”….“Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat” ?? :-)
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Those" Henry VIII" lyrics gave me
too much to think about.
TXQ - you mean too deep for you?
First two not released in UK, Court. I think “I’m into something good” and “Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat” were hits here. See TXQ, Court and I can dredge up all kinds of rubbishy info.
VINYL BAY-BEEEEE !
I definitely know both songs…but I can’t remember if they just came out here on their greatest hits album or as 45’s.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
They were singles here, Court - possibly No. 1's - I'll check
How about Manfred Mann – need to check spelling also.
Knights in White Satin
"Government is the opiate of the masses" Dennis Prager
"I've got blisters on my fingers!!!!!!"
I liked the Moody Blues for their musicianship – lyrics were a bit too drug induced – but they could really play and put tues together. Their pop hits were definitely not their best songs. The deeper tracks were fantastic.
How about Dire Straights and Mark Knopfler ?
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Court, buy Knopfler's "Coyote" off iTunes. Trust me.
His best song ever, except for Money for Nothin.
"Daddy's Gone to Knoxville" and
“You Don’t Know You Were Born” are terrific, but the latter’s a little similar in tempo to "Coyote,’ which has such clever lyrics.
yeah – I guess “too” is kind of subjective…depending on one’s drug use. (lol)
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Wendy, I do hope you were never a
Chad & Jeremy fan.
And 10 million butterfly sneezes
don’t really generate that much power. I tested it.
never was a big fan of MM’s Earth Band – especially “Blinded by the Light”
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Liked "Quinn the Eskimo" cuz
my name is Quinn, not an Eskimo.
Hang around the inkwell
and you’ll get to know him, Wendy.
To anyone reading these posts
(are you listening, RB?) I would just like to make it clear that TXQ started all this off-topic business.
Wow. Now I figure your fave band
is Benny & the Backstabbers or Ted & the Tattletales.
Court, just a bad choice of words...I didn't mean as a player,
but as an “everyday occurance” by someone who cares for the game…lol…STUB
