Kraft-Nabisco Not Likely to Renew As Sponsor of LPGA's First Major

Waggle Room has learned that the LPGA Tour will likely be looking for a new title sponsor of its first major of the year.  Currently known as the Kraft-Nabisco Championship, the title sponsorship deal ends in two years.  An LPGA source indicated that Kraft-Nabisco has tipped that they will be unlikely to extend in the capacity of title sponsor.  Of course, these things are fluid, but that is the indication at the moment.

That's a shame

Hopefully, if Kraft decides to pull out, a better sponsor will be found to replace them.

So - do you want to watch the best golf players

or listen to the best English-language speaker?

OK – apart from the innuendo – who or what are “Lays”? Polite answers only pls.

Lays potato chips (sorry – we don’t call them crisps here) :-)

The Frito Lay company makes Fritos corn chips and Lays potato chips.

Wendy

pro sports are not just about the best players. the athletes have to be marketable as well. especially for the women because if it was just about the best players people would only watch the men.

FG - it doesn't bother me

if the victory speech needs an interpreter if they have played brilliantly. I remember male European players who used to mangle their speeches (early Seve anyone?) but still had marketability/charisma.

exactly

Seve had charisma.
are you telling me that the LPGA does not have a marketability problem?
