Seriously? Fake Twitter Accounts for Ricky Barnes & KJ Choi?
To much the delight of the golf world on Twitter, it seemed that Ricky Barnes and KJ Choi were moved by the Masters to create accounts on the service. Well, it turns out that both are fake, according to the PGA Tour. The accounts are RickyBarnes1 and KJchoi_golf.
They're done by the same guy.
Seriously, who has the time to create fake Twitter accounts for middling - albeit accomplished - PGA Tour players? I can think of at least 10 more interesting guys to impostor. And the list starts with Phil Mickelson. How bout Fred Couples?

I see where The Tour says that Choi is not on Twitter and this Barnes address is not Ricky Barnes – but where do you see that they are done by the same person ?
And PLEASE – enough with the cheap shots on a PGA Tour player’s acomplisments and ability. It is bush league at best from you. And Choi has, what, 7 PGA Tour wins ?

They’re done by the same guy because they speak about each other the same way. (It’s hard to explain unless you use Twitter.)

It's ok to talk to yourself....
…and it’s ok to argue with yourself…
…but if you argue with yourself and lose…THEN you’ve got problems :-D

Nope, I actually know. I’m pretty smart.

Everything can’t be smart or insightful. You gotta have some fun sometimes with the ridiculous and the sublime.

Fun can’t be accurate ? How is this “sublime” or “ridiculous” ? This is a warning that people aren’t talking to who they think they’re talking to. (and yes – I ended a sentence with a preposition !)
Humor is a LOT harder to write than a list of facts. I know we don’t always laugh at the same things – but you’ll have to show me where the humor is here. You can’t just SAY something is funny when you get called on the facts…hmmm…now who was the recent object lesson for this ?…oh yeah….that Wie chick.

By the way -
I’m just saying that RB is better than this kind of stuff.

I cover all kinds of dumb crap on this blog because I find it ridiculous, funny, or ridiculously funny.

But you usually have at least a shread of evidence when you try to prove something. In this case – you are making a wild guess. I’m not saying you’re wrong – I’m saying that you don’t know and couldn’t prove it if someone forced you to.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
I can prove it, and I know it. I’ll leave it at that.

Yes, Miche….errrr….Ryan… (ducking)
If you can prove it – let’s see a little of it. I’m not saying you can’t – I’m saying that if you’re going to be a “journalist”, you have to back up your claims.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Let’s walk through it.
“barnes” tweets “gotta get @KJChoi_Golf some more followers! the ice man!”
“Choi” tweets “my favorite twitter guy has to be @rickybarnes1…he is a stand up guy who also had a great week at the masters”
They each tweet advertisements for “http://www.usa-drug-card.com/” at approximately the same moment.
