These girls rock!
One week after the event and nothing about the LPGA HSBC Champions? We are all painfully aware of the trials and tribulations that the LPGA has been battling these past twelve months, so it was interesting to witness first hand how the girls are progressing. I was at the HSBC last Friday as a guest of the sponsor. Lucky me and it's true, it's not what you know, it's who you know!
The top 65 players on the LPGA tour teed it up on the beautiful Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore last week and the girls did themselves, their Tour and the game proud. Great golf was in abundance, but the best part - aside from the food and hospitality in the HSBC Pavillion, was the attitude and demeanor of the ladies that make up of the best of the LPGA Tour.
Smiles, ball tosses to the gallery, genuine thank you's after a good shot is acknowledged by the gallery, emotion after bad shots, but no histrionics, autographs and photo ops by all after the round and a bit of schmoozing with the sponsors guests before hitting the range or putting green post round. I was impressed and all who I have spoken to, have said the same thing, they will go to this event again next year and they are firm converts to the LPGA. The ladies game has much to offer, lets hope that the new management can and will capitalize on what is already a great product.
The boys could learn a thing or two from the girls - often the case!

I was hoping you had the chance to attend and would share your thoughts. Thanks, Chip’n!

Hi Dianne. You’re welcome! I had a ball and was sorry I couldn’t get there on the weekend. Unfortunately, work had to take precedence. I was lucky enough to have a chat with Jiya Shin and Yani Tseng after their rounds and they impressed the hell out of me. Great girls, on and off the course.
Play it as it lies
Sounds like a fun day at the golf course. Looked really beautiful, too.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
It’s a great golf course CG, probably my favorite here and watching golf, beats the hell out of working…always
Play it as it lies
Many times. It has 36 holes and only $180,000 to join. I wish I could claim to be a member, but alas. The Garden Course is the one they played and it’s pure. Tanah Merah and Sentosa are the best two here by far
Play it as it lies
well dang – so you’re saying that you’d be able to get all of us memberships if we came over to play with you. :-D
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
You got the dollars – you get the gig. Money talks in this town. $280,000 for Sentosa at the moment….what recession?

CG probably never mentioned that his middle name is Moneybags, did he?

CG..for that amount,
you can count EM, Jumpin and myself in…All we need now is a free plane ride…anybody willing to lend us their jet?…STUB
Under utilized
There’s a private jet at liberty in the Central Florida area.
Don't worry, nothing will be allright.
How much is the charter
and does it have enough range to get to Singapore?….just send the tab to CG and let me know what day to be there…Oh wait, the grooves on my 704’s arn’t conforming…would that make any difference? STUB
