GAME ENHANCEMENTS

Feel free to jump in anytime gang....would these be considered game enhancement drugs?   I had my left knee replaced with Stainless Steel and Teflon, but not my right one...I am bone to bone there, and sometimes you can hear it "click" when I walk...Needless to say, at times is downright painful and aggravating...Here's the thing...My Sons mother in law has problems too, and she takes a product to relieve it...she claims it does wonders....She sent me a bottle of the liquid gels, and they contain"Glucosamine Sulfate along with Chondrotin Sulfate....All designed to ease the pain and provide smoother joint work.... any thoughts on this....STUB

My cat takes that for athrititis

It does seem to help him bat that little white plastic golf ball off our skirting boards. Well, you did say “any thoughts”!

Stub........Go for it!!

Besides, your “clicking” knee is really bothering me when I putt…….lol. Before I play, I take with me (feel free to sing along..12 days of Christmas) 5 hour drink, 4 ibuprofen, 3 Gatorades, 2 contact lenses AAAAND a partridge in a hi-energy candy bar!

It’s not new – it’s not an industry secret – it’s not on a banned substance list – and most importantly….you’re not on the PGA Tour or any of its affiliates, the Euro Tour, LPGA Tour (you’re not on the LPGA Tour….are you ?) :-) – so no, it’s not a game enhancement drug.

NEXT ! :-)

To be pedantic CG

it might very well be considered a game enhancement drug – but as Stub is not playing in professional tournaments it doesn’t matter and even if he were – it’s not on the banned substance list, ditto.

NO, but

I used to be a pretty fancy cross dresser….lol man, ya gotta love all the open doors to walk through…really Wendy…your cat gets them?…EM, I too along with Easy took a dram or 2 before going out, but it’s been getting worse…old age doesn’t help. and my Dr. said that the way you turn and shift weight during the golf swing had a lot to do with it….My reason for the Game Enhancemet thing, is I was wondering about the guys on tour…I know a bunch take Aleve …STUB

I take glucosamine in pill form...

and I can say with confidence it is not enhancing my golf game.

Glucosamine......Joint medicine???

Be careful, if you take too much, you will start walking like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz…….lol

Mr. Cat is a very fine cat indeed

and has his Glucosamine & Chondroiton capsule mashed up in his breakfast every morning. What’s Aleve? Should Mr. Cat be taking this too? Would it improve his bedspread attacking ability? You know I just like to do the best for the men in my life.

Aleve is a form of Aspirin

that is for pain, available over the counter at drug stores here in the Colony’s….STUB

I'll stick with the swig of whisky in winter..

but I have been using deep heat spray on the shoulder lately. I don’t mind the smell…it reminds me of my Rugby days.

Bits of it Wendy.

Johnson made a few changes and England were a lot better. Almost nicked it. But France deserved the grand slam this time. Does this fixture cause rows at home ? Your hubby has suffered a lot in the World Cup.

OK you two,

it may not be the Kings/Queens English, but we’ll not have any foreign tongues spoken here…lol…STUB

by thinker on Mar 21, 2010 2:20 PM EDT up reply actions

We shake hands before the France/England game

and retire to different rooms to shout abuse at each other’s team. The other matches we watch together. Been married for too long to let the results cause rows beyond the evening. I know France deserved the grandslam, but I so wanted us to spoil their party and for the first 10 minutes thought we were going to be a totally different team. Saint Andre says previous results shouldn’t have been blamed on Wilkinson; he’s playing brilliantly in France, but doesn’t get the support from the England team that he needs. Feel sorry for Johnson all the same.

As for STUB, think of all the obscure references Easing and I (well mainly I) have to put up with about those weird American sports – which they insist on calling World Series.

Wendy,Easy

if you can stay awake long enough to watch the games, your entitled to be called “world champs/chumps” or anything like it….STUB

When I worked on a throroughbred breeding farm...

…we gave the older horses MSM / Glucosamine in their feed. Did wonders for them – seeing a 23-year-old stallion running around his paddock like a 4-year-old convinced me, and I began taking the supplement (in human-sized dosages) myself. Works well. Highly recommended.

OK guys/ladies,

There are different opinions here…before I start takin this stuff, what if any are the side effects?…STUB

by thinker on Mar 20, 2010 10:55 PM EDT reply actions

no side effects – they are natural to the body – they just decrease with age – the only problem with taking the Glucosamine and Condroitin is that it takes a number of weeks to feel the affects start, and you have to continue taking it. If you stop, things will go back to the way they were.

A few friends my age (61) take

Glucosamine (tablet form) and swear by it for joint flexibility and helping with joint pain

I'll keep an eye out for you...at www.oneeyedgolfer.blogspot.com

OH, JUST ONE OTHER THING

while we’re here….Has anyone heard anything about a 2 hour Cialis??…That would match my attention span….STUB

by thinker on Mar 21, 2010 11:44 AM EDT reply actions

Stub or anyone else

You can use an external cream called Dimethyle Solfoxide “DMSO” Origionaly they used it on race horse joints and for other sporting animals for joint pain. My boxing trainer and many others used it after our fights for pain relief. IT WORKS. You cannot buy it over the counter but it is available on the internet. I just bought some a few weeks ago. It says, “Not for use on humans” on the label, but I’ve used it for years and it hasn’t caused me to bark at the moon at all. Thats the booze that does that. Ask you doctor about it, most will tell you it works but they can not recomend it.

Is that a side effect kangaroo itis, or something? lol. Sounds strange but results speak for themselves i guess.
