It's A St. Paddy's Pity Party for the Tavistock Cup

Thanks to TMZ's insinuation that Tiger Woods would play in the Tavistock Cup this year, a whole lot more people got to know what the event was and the rivalry between Isleworth and Lake Nona clubs.  (Tavistock Group kind of created the rivalry by developing Lake Nona in the first place.)

Now, though, Tiger Woods has announced that he will not be playing there, or at Bay Hill either.  He will be playing at Augusta National for the first time in 2010.  That comes at the expense of almost no one caring about the Tavistock Cup now.

With a whimper, the press release announcing the two teams came out yesterday.  Literally no one noticed.

It is not hard to imagine that most of the media outlets that flooded the Tavistock Cup tournament office with credential requests will rescind them or never pick them up, were they granted.  Viewership for the hit-'n'-giggle will plummet from expected outrageous levels.

So, while you're out drinking a green beer (or thirty) today in honor of St. Patrick's banishing the serpents from the Emerald Isle, toast the Tavistock Cup that couldn't keep a big serpent in the pen.

I honestly thought he would

play both the Tavistock and Bay Hill.

I can tell you my recent prognostication skills are well below the Mendoza Line.(.215)

After this one,

I"ll be looking for the “tea cup”, and the “coffee cup”, oh, and let"s not forget the “mustash cup” (that’s for the older folk here)….where oh where does this sillyness end….STUB

Sheesh, for an Interclub between two relatively non-elite CC’s, this is hilarious.

Really, theTavistock is great, but those guys are not exactly Pine Valley or Cypress Point.

Now that would be cool. I’d love any kind of televised Pine Valley match.

Maybe

Just maybe, no one noticed the press release, because TGC that is suppose to be a GOLF channel was to busy drooling and groveling on about Tiger with hours of programing dedicated to just that. One thing I did notice yesterday during the hours of programing dedicated to TW was that TGC could not seem to find “ONE” descent person or touring pro to interview besides Jack. They resorted to doing interviews via telephone with their own people, Chamblee and Lerner. hahahaha Shows you how much credibility they have or lack there of.

Jumpin,

I turned the GC on last night to see what was going on, and they were going all the way back to him hitting golf balls at 3-4 years old…Your right, the slobbering over themselves has begun again, makes ya want to throw up…And Kelly with that funeral demeanor just about tops the cake….such sanctimonious asses….Oh well, we only have to endure it for a few weeks….STUB

I saw that also STUB

Gawwwd, they act like he is coming back from some unexpained illness or time off from some injury or accident that wasn’t self induced. What a joke that channel is. Lets just be happy that they won’t be announcing the Masters.

AMEN TO THAT

Jumpin…I wish that the “old bikini wax” guy could get back into the tower…would be a refreshing change to all the boot licking done by the announcers now….STUB

Pretty simple guys....

Don’t watch it, I didn’t. Seriously, I watch very little GC anymore and rarely visit the website any more.

Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.
