Beatriz Recari Outduels Anna Rawson for 16th Mojo 6 Spot

Beatrizrecari3_medium

The voting to determine the 16th player in the LPGA Tour's unofficial Mojo 6 tournament in Jamaica is complete.  And the winner of the shot at $1 million is...Beatriz Recari.

The Spanish vixen won the fan vote.  On her Facebook page, she said, "EVERYONE!!!!!!!! I GOT IN THE MOJO 6!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO INCREDIBLY MUCH! YOU GUYS ROCK IT!!! SO PROUD TO HAVE YOU ALL AS FANS!!"

Recari beat out Anna Rawson, who pledged to donate her entire winnings to a set of three charities.  Despite losing out on the vote, Rawson has been contracted by tournament founder Ed Moses to be a correspondent for the event.

But consider Recari's win a monumental upset.  She has 5,474 Facebook fans compared to Rawson's 3,214 friends and her 4,102 fans.  Rawson has 7,762 Twitter followers.  Recari? 740.

The rub came in how many people viewed each of the girls' video pleas.  YouTube shows that nearly 1,500 views were recorded for Anna's video.  Over 32,000 viewed Beatriz's.

I have no idea what this means except that hot & talented Spanish women clearly have more appeal than equally hot & talented Australian women that vows to pledge money to charity.

both equally hot

but both equally having no shot at winning the event. How come Natalie Gulbis isn’t playing in the event?

ouch – a little sour grapes there, RB ?

according to the standings I saw over the weekend, it was FAR from a “duel” between Recari and Rawson. Rawson was 7th or 8th in the voting.

My pick, Sandra Gal, didn’t make it in, either.

Yeah, I mean, it wasn’t even really that close. For the record, I didn’t really care who won. I just found the social media following disparity very interesting!

So, this wasn't about golf

it’s about cheesecake. ho-hum.

Placebos, of course, are things you have to swallow even though they contain nothing that actually helps you. It's like American health insurance in a pill. -BiPM

Easy there Jumpin, remember

your blood pressure…Cheesecake? hell ya DM…never mind who can play the best…that belly button shot says it all…DM do you mean to tell me that if the pics were 2 of the young gun flat bellies with their shirts off and sweating, you wouldn’t like it? Court, Ryan is getting married soon, and ya know his GF reads his stuff, so what do you expect him to say….There is just something about those slo eyed, dark haired ladies with great legs..Gulbis? who’s that? …lol…STUB

Bea Recari Is Way More than Cheesecake

When I wrote about Bea last week - I pointed out the following:

During her amateur career, she won Spanish and French amateur titles, and was a member of the European Junior Solheim Cup team. She won her first professional tournament last year on the Ladies European Tour after holing out a 190-yard shot from the fairway. To finish her 2009, she achieved fully exempt status on the LPGA, after which she moved her base of operations to Miami – a city Recari says she loves because of its strong Latin American culture.

So, she’s a LET winner, a national am champion and thus a successful player. Calling her “cheesecake” because she is attractive quite honestly is telling only part of the story.

OMP, that’s the way the whole thing was designed by RB from the start….vote for the hottest of the hot…had nothing to do with golfing prowess….I’m with Jumpin, me lovey cheesecake…STUB
