Tracking Which PGA Tour Players Are Using Ping Eye 2s
Moments ago in his press conference, PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem mentioned that five players out of 218 so far have put the Ping Eye 2s into play in 2010. In light of who may be putting the club into play next, we may have a new way to track it.
There's a new site called Blippy that allows users to create an account, link their credit card, and show to the world what products they have purchased (and for how much) on the site. The Tour could make it compulsory for eBay shopping among players.
Can you imagine the transparency? (Click to view full size.)

yes – that’s what I would want – the world knowing what I bought and how much I paid for it.
and please – “transparency” ? give me a break
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
It’s a bit of an inside joke. Phil used that word about 900 times in his press conference today.

we were stuck with all those “I feel your pain” jokes a while back…“transparency” is going to be next.

Phil's not.....
using the Ping Wedge this week. He says “my point has been made”………Now that’s leadership. Um, “but if the governing bodies don’t fix this loophole”, then Phil may put the Wedge back in play again. Suggestion: Phil just play golf, you are not good at this taking a stand thing. You are a little too whiny, and your rep with your fellow players is well weak. Let your (conforming clubs talk for you) don’t be an “idiot”.

his point has been made ? what the heck was his “point” ? That there is an advantage to the old wedges ? Phil – buddy – you weren’t very impressive last week…especially on Sunday when it mattered most. Maybe those old cast clubs didn’t feel as nice as they did 20 years ago ? Probably didn’t make the modern balls spin like those old balls you used then ?
“my point has been made” – be serious. that sounds like a boxer who lost a decision be screams that he won.
or maybe your point was that if you push a bunch of people you’ll get one of them to react and say something stupid ?

F's & G's.......
Well, last week when I suggested to you that Phil was making a point, and that I wouldn’t be surprised if he took the club out of the bag this week……you trashed me with all your whining about “spirit of the rules” and “advantage over the field” etc., etc. Remember?? I think it was the post where I said we all know why you are trashing Phil……and that Tiger appreciates it……. Just a few simple sincere words of apology would be acceptable.
The Saints are in the SUPER BOWL....WHO DAT!
You had a........
non-conforming wedge in your bag?? Okay, here’s your apology…..I’m sorry that Phil let you down with his nonsensical protest, which involved the loss of his fellow competitiors respect…….You know the guys using conforming wedges. Yes the guys with not as much talent as Phil who decided to play by the rules. Not only did phil use a non-conforming wedge last week, but he tried to get some callaway wedges past the Tour officials, which also had non-conforming grooves. I apologize to you for your continued TW remarks, when he is not even playing. I’ll give you this though i do see your point. As for Phil the whiny idiot that he is. There was no point. He gained nothing, thus his “protest” left him soiled, and placed him in line with who?? John Daly. I’m very sorry you can’t see that….Sorry.

Typical......
You completely change the subject as always. I just repeated a prediction I made to you last week and you turn it into a world crisis. I didn’t give an opinion or judgment one way or another, but just what I thought motivated his action and what I thought he might do this week. In your usual “the sky is falling” style, you again go off on your rant. We all know what you think about this because your worn out “drama queen” reaction has been posted over and over. Hopefully some new “end of world” crisis will emerge this week to give you something new to rant about, if not we can always fall back on the Tiger “situation” for discussion.

Freddy Couples
Announced last night that he was putting the wedge in his bag this week at Riviera in protest, just like Phil. His reason, Dame as Phil as a show of support.
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
Damn it
I meant to say “Same” the s is next to the d on the keyboard and I type too fast sometimes. Besides the fact, I had only had one cup of coffee to that point. LOL
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
well THAT’S pretty disappointing. I was hoping for some grand literary usage that I missed back in college.
Someone needs to show Freddie that babbling nonsense Phil spewed after Torrey Pines. All that “advantage” and he fires exactly ONE round in the 60’s on one of his favorite golf courses in the world ? Nice use of that advantage, Phil-baby. He needs to just shut up and play – and Freddie needs to distance himself as far as he can from Mickelson.

Well court
Freddys wife is some what of a “Dame” if that counts. hehehe

Tiger vs. Grooves
These two stories have much in common:1. They both have or will have attorneys involved. 2. They are both riddled with inaccuracy and innuendo. 3. Both have a huge personality component. 4. Both seem to have a “morality” component. 5. Both are media driven. 6. Both have gone on WAY TOO LONG!
You are correct......
but, since you are known here as PINGforever. i’d think you’d like this Ping thing to go on for just a little longer…….okay…..you are right. Seems there’s no golf (on course) stories to get our attention, so we’re left with drivel. I’ll be glad when the Real season begins. Deja vu………2000.

F&G
No, I’m ready to let it go. The whole thing was presented to the public so poorly in Hawaii. It was like, this is a new era in golf, we’re going back to a time when skill was king…. “V” groove aren’t “V” and the DEEP “U” grooves never really left. You’d think Carolyn Bivens was running the show….
